Double VPN — also called multi-hop or cascading — routes your connection through two VPN servers in sequence. Each hop encrypts your traffic separately, so even a compromised server sees only one half of the picture.
How double VPN works
Your device connects to server A, which forwards the (still-encrypted) tunnel to server B, which finally decrypts and sends traffic to the internet. Server A knows your real IP; server B knows your destination — neither knows both.
