Move slowly, and off-platform only when you're ready
Real people happily chat inside the app. Pressure to move to WhatsApp, Telegram, or email within minutes is a red flag.
Never send money
No genuine match will ever need funds for a flight, medical emergency, or 'unlocked account'. Report and block immediately.
Video-call before you meet
A short live video call filters out fake profiles and gives you a real sense of the person. Most top sites now build this in.

Pick a busy public place, arrange your own transport, and tell someone where you'll be and when you'll check in.
